Science and Technical Ranger
Andrew has been interested in Aotearoa's amazing wildlife since he was very little. This lead him towards a career in ecology and biosecurity, with the goal to work on major ecological projects that help protect and restore Aotearoa New Zealand’s unique biodiversity.
Andrew graduated from the University of Otago in 2022 after writing a thesis on the use of stable isotopes to track dietary patterns in stoats and weasels, while also determining their trophic discrimination factors. He moved to Wellington in early 2023 for its great reputation for cutting-edge conservation work and the excitement of a new outdoor playground to explore.
During his free time, Andrew enjoys being active, whether that be freediving, tramping, football - or anything else competitive! He also enjoys drumming and socialising with friends.
