Courtney has always had a passion for New Zealand's dramatic and wild environment, and the birdlife in particular.

After 4 years in America playing basketball and completing her undergrad, Courtney returned home keen to pursue further study in our unique environment.

She joined the ZIP team after finishing up her Masters on the conservation of the endangered black-fronted tern. Her research further highlighted for her the important role predator management plays in New Zealand conservation. She is excited to be working in this progressive and dynamic area.

Now based in Hokitika, in her spare time Courtney can be found shooting hoops, escaping to the mountains or chasing wildlife with her camera.
