Possum Detective/ Good Girl

Pepper is a bouncy German short-haired pointer cross, and one of the only fully certified possum detection dogs in New Zealand. She lives in South Westland with her handler Michael.

Pepper’s job is to help us find possums in areas that are under protection. Her super-sensitive nose and an uncanny knack for climbing trees strike fear into the heart of possums wherever she goes.

When she’s not on the job, Pepper is a loveable goof who enjoys hooning around, endless cuddles and scratches, and recharging in the nearest patch of sun.
