The ZIP MotoLure is a robust tool that can be used in a range of situations. It dispenses a preset amount of fresh mayonnaise lure for possums, rats and stoats (which can be paired with a biomarker), for up to one year without requiring manual service.
The ZIP MotoLure can be used as:
A lure for traps. With a small modification to trap-box lids, the ZIP MotoLure can be used to keep traps freshly lured for up to one year without the need for labour-intensive manual servicing.
A prefeeding tool. The ZIP MotoLure can be used to train animals to recognise a lure as safe, before they encounter it inside a trap box. This can increase the effectiveness of trapping operations by as much as 40%.
A highly sensitive detection device. When paired with a trail camera, the ZIP MotoLure can be used to attract possums, rats and stoats to cameras, and encourages repeat visits by providing a food ‘reward’.
A biomarking tool. A biomarker can be added to the lure, and used by researchers to monitor the movement of rats and/or stoats through the landscape.
Each unit comes with a 2-year warranty, and consists of:
