Science and Technical Ranger
Jono holds a Bachelor of Science (Conservation and Ecology) from Lincoln University.
Before joining the ZIP team, Jono held a range of field-based roles. These included working for DOC as a ranger on the predator trapping team for kākāriki karaka (orange-fronted parakeet), biodiversity monitoring in both the North and South Islands, and alpine monitoring of rock wren. He also had a stint as a field ranger in Canada, working for Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute.
In his spare time, Jono enjoys mountain biking, trail running, adventure racing, coffee drinking and cracking good puns.
