Field Team Lead

Piper Douglas.jpg

Piper joined ZIP in April 2018 after several successive Island weeding stints around New Zealand. The time had come to move away from weeds and to begin learning about predator management techniques.

Piper is very excited to have the opportunity to work in predator-free environments, surrounded by birds, insects, reptiles and trees that can grow to their full potential. This is something she hopes that everyone in Aotearoa will one day be able to experience.

While studying for her bachelors, Piper soon realised that she wanted to work in the outdoors, helping to create wonderful living spaces for New Zealand wildlife through conservation ‘on the ground’.

In her spare time, Piper enjoys reading, knitting and spinning a good yarn with her workmates.
