Field Ranger
Michael joined the ZIP Bottle Rock field team in 2015 fresh from a summer contract with the Department of Conservation weed control team on the Hen & Chickens Islands.
Michael developed a passion for conservation at an early age through working as a volunteer for Auckland Regional Parks. He has extensive back-country experience and holds two diplomas from North Tec – Professional Hunting and Pest Control, and Conservation and Environmental Management.
Now based in South Westland, he is a keen and competent tramper, hunter and caver – equally at home outdoors in the bush or exploring cave systems deep underground.
